Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rakibul Islam Babu is a distinguished orthodontist and academician with more than 20 years of clinical and teaching experience in the field of dentistry, particularly in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

He completed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Dhaka Residential Model College in 1994 and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Dhaka College in 1996. He then pursued his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Dhaka Dental College, beginning in 1997 and graduating in 2003.

In 2007, he successfully completed FCPS Part, under the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons. His postgraduate clinical training was conducted at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical university, formerly known as PG Hospital. Later, in 2012, he known as PG Hospital. Later, in 2012, he achieved his FCPS degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, establishing himself as a specialist in the field.

Following his specialization, Professor Dr. Islam joined City Dental College as an Assistant Professor. Through his dedication to academic excellence, clinical expertise, and professional leadership, he continued to advance in his career and is currently serving as a Professor at the same institution. His professorship was officially recognized by the University of Dhaka in 2023.

In addition to his academic responsibilities, Professor Dr. Islam has made significant contributions to dental research. He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications, including original research articles, review articles, nd case reports published in reputed journals recognized by
